Why hire me

About Kimber Sykes

Kimber Sykes is a London-based freelance Digital Lead and Producer who delivers interactive software for live events and brands, and designs and builds AI-assisted products with Cursor and Claude.

He has 23 years of experience in live events. Agencies have brought him in to lead the digital side of activations since 2013, and he now builds working software himself with Cursor and Claude. His event production work is on kimbersykes.com.

How can Kimber help your agency?

Three ways Kimber helps on the digital side. Each links to the case studies that show it.

Digital Lead and Production

As Digital Lead / Producer, Kimber takes the digital part of an activation from idea to live: the user journey, software brief, developers, hardware and on-site delivery. He has delivered video booths, registration plinths, quiz games and live data walls for Mastercard, Emirates, NTT DATA, Foot Locker and Aperol.

What's included

  • User journeys, wireframes and designed frames
  • Software briefs and functional specifications
  • Managing developers, designers and content partners
  • Hardware specification: tablets, kiosks, servers and networks
  • Data capture, consent and post-event reporting
  • On-site installation, testing and live support

Typical projects: Sports sponsorship activations, brand experiences, exhibitions and pop-ups that need interactive software.

Case studies: Mastercard Madness or Priceless Video Booths, UEFA Champions League Final, NTT DATA Datawall at The Open, Aperol Spritz Australian Open Trivia Game, Race to Dubai with Emirates Golf Game, Foot Locker Registration Plinth

Interactive Experiences

Games, simulators and immersive exhibits that people queue for. Kimber has produced flight simulators, multiplayer video games and immersive pods for Emirates and touring sports activations.

What's included

  • Game and experience design
  • Touchscreen, iPad and kiosk applications
  • Simulator and exhibit interfaces
  • Content production and localisation
  • Touring kits that work anywhere

Typical projects: Attractions, sports sponsorship tours, flagship stands and launches.

Case studies: Emirates A380 Simulator at The Dubai Mall, Emirates Aviation Experience Digital Exhibits, Emirates Sports Sponsorship Digital Activations, Emirates US Open Destination Pods, Samsung Galaxy A5 Netball Challenge, mclcreate Game Changer and 60 Second Challenge Quiz

AI Builds

Kimber designs and builds working software himself with Cursor and Claude: event operations tools used on live shows, brand websites and AI image pipelines, shipped in days rather than months.

What's included

  • Event operations software: accreditation, check in and signage
  • Websites and web apps
  • Generative AI image pipelines
  • Chrome extensions and internal tools
  • Hosting on Cloudflare, Vercel and Supabase

Typical projects: Event tools that agencies would otherwise buy in, internal tools and brand sites.

Case studies: Wonder Contractor Accreditation App, Wonder Digital Agenda Screens for Google Cloud Summit, Gemini Exporter Chrome Extension for Wonder, Mezcalómano AI Card Art, Agave Directory and Website, Rubber Armstrong Camp Platform

How does he build with AI?

Kimber writes the brief and the spec, then builds with Cursor and Claude as his engineering team. The results run on live shows: the Wonder Contractor Accreditation App inducted and checked in more than 1,000 contractors at Google Cloud Summit London 2026, and the Wonder Digital Agenda Screens for Google Cloud Summit ran the venue signage at the same show.

The same approach powers his own projects, from the Mezcalómano AI art pipeline to the Rubber Armstrong Camp Platform that runs a Burning Man camp.
